Pricing Made Easy
The number one question I get from prospective clients is how much is this going to cost. It's a great question and one that seems shrouded in mystery in the interior design world. Some designers do an hourly model, while others do a percent mark-up on all the purchases, and others do a flat fee per room, however there is absolutely no standard. Every designer is different and that can be extremely confusing to the client.
At Zachary John Home we do not want there to be ANY mystery. There will not be any miscellaneous charges or surprise bills. Here are the steps we will take:
1) I'll come for a personal consultation. We will do a walk through of the space and talk about the details of what needs to be done.
2) After the consultation, if you decide to move forward, there will be a $250 design fee per room. This will cover the time I will spend creating designs and renderings of the space as well as creating a work list for each space. This work list will also include the pricing (per room) for our fees.
3) If you decide to move forward with the plans we will take $250 and apply it to the cost of the project so you are getting a FREE consultation and design renderings! (if you decide not to move forward it is no hard feelings! The $250 is non-refundable but you will walk away with a consultation, renderings, and a work list for your space to do with as you please.)
4) Once we have our plan in place to get started all you will have to do is pay for 50% of our fee up front and then the other 50% is due upon completion of the project.
Ok so what are the prices then!?
Everyone's needs are different but to give you a general idea our pricing model is as follows:
Re-Do
This means we will use mostly what you already have in your space
Prices start at $500 for a full room and $250 for a bathroom or closet.
Re-Fresh
A mix of what you have already and some new pieces
Prices start at $750 for a full room
Re-Model
Mostly new pieces and installation
Prices start at $1000 for a full room
But remember these are estimates and you will get your exact price with the work list once I determine the scope of the project.
